When playworkgroup was tasked to visualize a partnership between MAC Cosmetics and Pattern Beauty, we wondered: How can two beauty icons become more than the sum of their parts? Our Pattern x MAC holiday campaign took inspiration from Pattern CEO Tracee Ellis Ross’ own life. Pairing Ross’s signature red shade of MAC lipstick with Pattern’s essential Leave-In Conditioner, we offered customers an irresistable Holiday Holy Grail kit that became the season’s beauty showstopper. 

The result | Featuring diverse models and a joyful, inclusive message, the campaign drove increased sales of MAC’s iconic Ruby Woo lipstick and Pattern’s Conditioner.
