To support the 2025 Sapphire Reserve relaunch, playworkgroup developed a refined still life photography system that positioned the refreshed card as a sculptural design object. The goal was to establish a timeless visual foundation that could scale seamlessly across print, digital, and experiential touchpoints.
The Ask | Chase required a premium still life image library to reflect the elevated redesign of Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business. The photography needed to balance luxury with clarity while functioning across advertising, editorial placements, out-of-home, digital, and owned channels.
The Approach | Playworkgroup partnered with acclaimed photographer Robin Broadbent to create a modern still life system grounded in restraint, precision, and materiality. The team developed an art direction built on sculptural details, bold lighting and architectural composition, emphasizing the card’s edges, surfaces, and dimensional form. The approach framed the card not simply as a financial tool, but as a designed object with presence and permanence. The image library included hero still life imagery, cropped material studies, and modular compositions that could adapt across formats and layouts.
The Result | The still life system became the visual backbone of the Sapphire Reserve relaunch, appearing across print, digital placements, social content, and experiential moments within Sapphire lounges.
